Below is Illinois Right to Life Action’s Annual ‘Bad Bills’ List:
Senate Bill 9 (Senator Holmes) and House Bill 1328 (Rep. Gabel) – Assisted Suicide Deceptively named “End-of-Life Options for Terminally Ill Patients Act”; These bills will allow a patient to receive a doctor’s prescription for a lethal dose of medications.
House Bill 2904 (Rep. Avelar) and Senate Bill 1679 (Senator Aquino) – Creates the Health Care Transparency Act. Requires the Department of Public Health to identify publically, “reproductive health care services” (abortion) and end-of-life “health care services” and others. The Department is to educate the public on where to obtain abortion and presumptively assisted suicide (if the assisted suicide bill passes).
House Bill 3279 (Rep. Moeller) – Requires that all women who are in this State illegally can receive “Family Planning Services”(abortions) for “free” (paid for by Illinois taxpayers). This is also part of the pro-abort’s efforts to “Trump Proof” Illinois.
House Bill 3568 (Rep. Ammons) – Creates the Health Care for All Illinois Act. This includes abortion for all Illinois women, both legally and illegally.
House Bill 3637 (Rep. Avelar) and Senate Bill 2450 (Senator Villa) – Amends various licensing acts to provide that the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation (that handles discipline matters for the Acts) shall not take any disciplinary or non-disciplinary action against a person’s authorization to practice under each of the amended Acts based solely upon the person’s involvement in any health care service, so long as the care was not unlawful under the laws of the State of Illinois, because of the other State revoking or suspending, or the person otherwise disciplined by any other State. In other words, if a medical professional has his/her license revoked or suspended for performing an illegal abortion in another State, Illinois will not do the same.
House Bill 3709 (Rep. Moeller) and Senate Bill 2444 (Senator Villanueva) – Amends the Public Higher Education Act to provide the abortion pill under the “student health services” at a Public University or College.
House Bill 3780 (Rep. Barbara Hernandez) – Creates the Illinois Universal Health Care Act. This includes abortion for all Illinois women (legal citizens and illegal residents).
Senate Bill 1846 (Senator Guzman) – Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to provide all women here in Illinois illegally to free “family planning” including abortions.
Senate Bill 2419 (Senator Fine) – Amends the Human Rights Act. Adds to the definition of “harassment” in the Employment Article to include “reproductive health decisions” that are covered under the Act. Currently, this definition “means a person’s decisions regarding the person’s use of: contraception; fertility or sterilization care; assisted reproductive technologies; miscarriage management care; healthcare related to the continuation or termination of pregnancy; or prenatal, intranatal, or postnatal care.”
