JUSTICE BOB THOMAS, FORMER CHIEF JUSTICE OF THE ILLINOIS SUPREME COURT, TO KEYNOTE ILLINOIS RIGHT TO LIFE ACTION EVENT
Illinois Right to Life Action announces that Justice Bob Thomas, former Chief Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court and former Chicago Bears place kicker, will be the featured keynote speaker for the 48th annual Illinois Right to Life Action Banquet on Nov 12, 2021 at The Carlisle in Lombard.
“We’re thrilled that Justice Thomas will be joining us on November 12,” said Amy Gehrke, Spokesperson of Illinois Right to Life Action. “From his time with the Chicago Bears to his time on the Illinois Supreme Court, Justice Thomas has represented the best of Illinois.”
Justice Thomas said upon his election to the Illinois Supreme Court, “A new kind of upright means more to me than a catchy phrase or a clever play on words. It is rather my pledge to the people of the State of Illinois that I will be a Supreme Court Justice in whom the public can put its full faith and trust.”
No other Illinois Supreme Court justice had a better record on the life issues than Justice Thomas, with seven decisions over his Supreme Court years that sided with life.
The banquet will be emceed by Representative Avery Bourne (R-IL95). In addition, a VIP reception will feature Illinois’s pro-life gubernatorial candidates. Finally, Ms. Evita Duffy, founder of The Chicago Thinker at the University of Chicago, will receive the Young Activist for Life Award.
