ILLINOIS RIGHT TO LIFE ACTION RESPONDS TO PERSONAL PAC’S ATTACK ON REPRESENTATIVE AVERY BOURNE
May 29, 2019 – (CHICAGO) Illinois Right to Life Action spokeswoman Mary Kate Knorr responded on Wednesday to a press conference held by Personal PAC, during which Terry Cosgrove referred to Representative Avery Bourne’s series of questions about the extreme abortion amendment to SB 25 as a “cheap political stunt.” Bourne is expecting and due on July 15th.
“It is laughable that Personal PAC chose to respond to a pregnant woman’s demand for honest answers on the house floor with a press conference featuring six men in suits,” said Knorr. “What a profound contradiction of everything they claim to stand for.”
“Representative Bourne did a phenomenal job of defending truth yesterday, and make no mistake: there were two lives standing behind that podium – that of Rep. Bourne, and also that of her unborn child. I commend the representative for her courageous work, and I laugh in the face of Terry Cosgrove, who is apparently so smug as to publicly call an expectant mother’s defense of her child’s life a “cheap political stunt.” Pro-woman? Not in the slightest.”
